Community Building

ULI Richmond focuses its community outreach in two primary areas: Technical Assistance Panels and Urban Marketplace.  Through both ULI Richmond works to emphasize our core priorities - sustainability, including enviromentally and economically viable investment and development; connecting infrastructure and land use planning; workforce housing; and capital markets.

Technical Assistance Panels, or TAPs, brings the expertise of the ULI membership and Richmond real estate community together to collaborate to find solutions for complex land use, development, and redevelopment projects. Click on the link to the left to find out about recent ULI Richmond TAPs.

Urban Marketplace is a conference bringing together professionals from across the real estate development spectrum in Central Virginia to discuss past, current, and future projects.  The goal is to encourage idea sharing and collaboration resulting in superb developments in the capital area. ULI Richmond is always considering new ways to engage Central Virginia and strengthen our community efforts.  If you'd like to find out more about our current efforts, please join us at an upcoming event.

The ULI does not lobby, but its community outreach programs enable ULI leaders to identify challenges to better land use and development, highlight best practices from across the country, and develop new solutions to improve land use patterns. By engaging land use professionals and other stakeholders to resolve complex land use, development and redevelopment problems, ULI members are making a difference in their hometowns.
